Submission Guidelines
All submissions should be sent to contact@ettoile.com
We will accept stories about travel, weddings, performances happening or that have happened (reviews), fitness and wellness, personal stories that can make a difference in someone else’s life, opinion pieces, artistic editorials, cultural editorials, scientific studies, sustainability and so many more. Keep your eyes out for what we’ve published in the past!
Please send any writing samples as a Word document attached to the email. Samples should be at least 200 words of the story you’d like to share. Any pieces that are accepted to Et Toile will undergo a progression of drafts that will allow me to edit the work, ask any questions I need you to fill in, and have you rewrite the drafts as needed. If more information is needed, I ask that only legitimate sources be used to fill in that information and that all the sources be correctly cited.
If sending images, please send between 20-30 high resoluation images to choose from. Any images should be sent through a file sharing system such as Dropbox, Pixieset, Pictime, etc. Please do not attach images to an email or send any zip files. If the file sharing system has a password or download code, be sure to include that information in the email. No resizing is needed for your original submission, however, if your piece is chosen for Et Toile, you must either resize the image to meet our specifications or agree to allow me to resize your images.
If you are submitting a real wedding, choose images that tell the story from beginning to end with a write-up about the design intentions, the couple, the intention behind the photography, etc. Please include credits for the entire vendor team that allowed the creation of the images or story. If you are not the photographer, I will need acknowledgement from the photographer that you have permission to submit their images.
